Pastors and Boards set the tone and direction of your church. This partnership between the Lead Pastor and the Church Board defines the culture of decision making and spiritual vitality. Not only does a healthy church need biblically qualified pastors and board members but they also must know how to work together on mission while facilitating accountability. Healthy pastor/board partnerships develop support systems for staff, lay leaders, and the spiritual care of the entire church.
Because of the nature of this training, you cannot come alone. You MUST bring at least one board member with the Lead Pastor (or bring your entire board for a unified experience). This will maximize the opportunity and catapult your board engagement dramatically toward greater effectiveness. There will be applicational time during the event for your team to immediately implement the ideas being presented.

Dr. Bruce Hopler
Bruce joined the National Converge office in September 2015. Early in his ministry he and his wife, Terri planted a multi-cultural church in the Baltimore - Washington Dc area and grew it for 18 years. During this season he learned a lot about church plants and growing smaller churches into a mid-size church. He also learned a lot about ministering to people with diverse backgrounds and spent much time coaching other pastors and church planters.
In 2012 he got his west coast and mega church experience by becoming the Spiritual Formation Pastor for The Crossing Church of Las Vegas. The Crossing was the 8th fastest growing church in America during Bruce’s tenure. With this wide variety background, Converge considered him the best fit for their new role as the National VP of Church Strengthening.
With Converge, Bruce has worked with pastors, churches, and districts on leadership development, creating strategic processes that align with a clear missional vision, and has worked with Converge’s 10 regions in creating church strengthening teams.
